Privacy and Data Security FAQ – Conker

1. Is your infrastructure compliant ex: SOC, SOC2, COPPA etc.?

As a company, we have undertaken COPPA and FERPA compliance assessments and received certification.
We have implemented a set of data privacy controls consistent with SOC2, however, we do not have a SOC2 certification.

2. Do you collect any data from staff and students?

We collect high-level survey data from staff and nothing from students.

3. Do students have the option to edit their accounts or does just the teacher have rights?

Students do not have any edit access.

4. Does it allow any external interaction (for ex: other users of your service)?

No.

5. Can accounts be created with only first and last name initials or using pseudonyms?

Yes. Students can use Conker anonymously, giving a pseudonym. Teachers can also use Conker to export quizzes to Google Forms so that students do not interact with Conker at all. Find out more here.

6. Does it require a sign-in? If so, then can we use SSO with Google or Outlook?

To share (export / assign) quizzes, sign-in is required.

7. How do I remove our data manually?

8. Does this app/website contain advertisements?

No.

9. Is opt-out option set by default?

The opt-out option is set by default for emails. We also do not send any emails to minors.

10. Minimum age requirements?

There is no minimum age requirement to use Conker however under 18s must have a teacher's or parent's approval.
